Reticulated pythons are a species of snakes that are found in Southeast Asia. Aside from belonging to the family of the longest and heaviest of snakes, including Boa Constrictors and Anacondas, they are non-venomous, therefore they use their bodies to constrict, then kill their prey. And despite the incredible power and strength of these animals, surprisingly, they aren’t known to be dangerous to people.

Supposedly, Medusa, a reticulated python owned by Full Moon Productions Inc., is the largest ever recorded in captivity. Just 2 inches over 25-feet in length, she also weighs a staggering 350 pounds. She has been known to eat a 40-pound deer in just one sitting. And while pythons normally prey on rabbits, hogs and other animals in the wild, one particular reticulated python decided to make a meal out of a man.
