The next time you visit the Swedish town of Malmö, but sure to watch where you step! This is because tiny, adorable mouse cafes are popping up at a rapid pace, and it’d be a travesty to miss the works of art. Only those who have a keen eye and patience will find the tiny structures which are mirrored after modern businesses. From a bakery to a “cheese and cracker shop,” there’s something to entice every mouse.
Reportedly, a mysterious street art group – appropriately named Anonymous MMX – is responsible for making the mouse cafes. The group’s Instagram page doesn’t have many photos, but it’s quickly gaining attention and already has almost 80k followers!
Approximately 1-foot by 2-foot, the storefronts are easily missed if one doesn’t know they exist. And far from just looking cute, they actually offer neighborhood scavengers delicacies, such as nuts and cheeses.
What might be most impressive about the mass cafes is the detail put into each work of art. A representative of Anonymouse MMX told The Huffington Post:
“It’s just too darn charming to imagine a world where mice lives parallel to ours but just slightly out of sight.”
“They are built of things that we had laying around and also things we collected, like caps, lids from tin cans, matches, buttons, a lamp shade, Italian stamps etc.,” the representative added. “The idea was to use things mice themselves could have collected and reused.”

The group promises to expand the number of mouse cafes in the future. For now, follow the artists’ Instagram page and indulge in the photos below:
