Sometimes, it’s difficult to contemplate how people in this world can be so cruel to others – people and animals. Hunterdon County residential service driver James Ryan is one of those who is dumbfounded by the mistreatment of critters large and small. Fortunately, people at his workplace know just how compassionate the activist is.
When another driver found a tiny kitten amidst the orange peels and other rubbish in the truck, they alerted James. Reportedly, the black and white kitten – who is tiny enough to fit in a glove – ran and hid behind some shovels, and had to be rescued by James. Once he found the baby kitten, she let out a pained cry. He says,
“I never want to hear out of a kitten for the rest of my life. My heart was breaking.”
As it turns out, her right rear leg had been hurt in the dumpster. She was in a lot of pain and needed help – fast! James drove the kitten to Tabby’s Place – an animal shelter in Ringoes, New Jersey. After she was bathed and treated with pain medication, the baby cat – who was fondly named Grace – was transported to a world-class specialty hospital to receive surgery. Her mangled leg was in such bad shape, it needed to be surgically “removed”, relays GoodNewsNetwork.
