U.S. President Donald Trump may believe climate change is a hoax invented by the Chinese, but Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada has wholeheartedly accepted what 97% of the world’s scientists are proclaiming — that global warming is a man-made catastrophe that requires action. In fact, he recently kayaked up to a random family to discuss climate change while enjoying the waters of Niagra-on-the-Lake in Ontario.

The humorous news was shared by Carrie Robinson on Twitter. She posted the video of Trudeau paddling his way to her and her family with the caption: “Justin Trudeau just kayaked up to my house and talked to my parents? classic.”

According to Distractify, Trudeau was in the water on Monday to celebrate World Environment Day — hence, the discussion on climate change.

After the notable event occurred, Trudeau stated:

“The future is still bright for those who have the courage to confront hard truths, and the confidence to stay the course. Canada will not back down from its commitment to fight climate change – and we are not alone. Around the world, nearly every country is on our side. Inaction is not an option. We can’t walk away from the reality of climate change.”

You can bet Twitter was impressed:
