Jon Stewart may no longer be the host of The Daily Show, but he still has plenty to say about Donald Trump – particularly concerning the lewd comments he said to Billy Bush during a bus interview in 2005. When the tape was originally leaked to the public right before the second Presidential debate, nearly everyone had an opinion on what the business tycoon deemed to be normal “locker room” talk. One well-known individual who spoke for many progressive males was Tom Hanks, who stated “I’m offended as a man.”

Now – finally, Jon Stewart is sharing his thoughts on the ordeal. With the U.S. Presidential election only days away and an incredibly divided nation bickering about the candidates, Jon talked about his favorites subject – Donald Trump – during the 10th Annual “Stand Up For Heroes” event which was hosted by the Bob Woodruff Foundation and the New York Comedy Festival. The event helps support veterans and their families and took place Tuesday night. Stewart opened the event by saying,

“To be here tonight with you guys, my heroes, on the eve of the last American election is so exciting. I’m not in the game anymore. I’m not as much of a political analyst… but if I could ask you a question that I’ve been saying to my television, it’s ‘What the [expletive deleted]? What the [expletive deleted] is going on? What is happening?!’”

For fifteen minutes, he spoke to the audience about the upcoming Presidential election and particularly, Donald Trump’s behavior throughout. Regarding Trump’s “locker room” talk, Stewart said:

“I thought when a guy got off a bus and says, ‘I’m going to grab her on the [expletive deleted],’ then okay, we’re done. The election is over. Usually that is a signifier that we don’t have to pay attention anymore.”

But as he points out, Trump is still a contender – despite his disgusting comments toward women and the fact that he’ll be in court on November 9th facing child rape allegations. Stewart, who retired from The Daily Show in August 2015, went on to talk about how the ‘craziness’ of the election has escalated:

“Then the FBI jumps in, and all of a sudden there’s a whole new thing… and then it goes back to Anthony Weiner? This is insane… as a writer, honestly, the first woman president and she’s taken down by Bush and Weiner, like, that’s just bad writing.”

His focus quickly jumped back to Donald Trump. Referencing Trump’s claim that the election is rigged, he told the audience at the Theater at Madison Square Garden:

“Dude, you live in a tower with your name on it in gold. How well would you be doing if the man wasn’t keeping you down?”

The comedian finished his opening of the event by sharing a long story about how Trump called him out on Twitter in 2013 over changing his name, and how a social media war erupted. Explaining how he ‘won’ the Twitter debate, he shared that Trump’s original name was “[expletive deleted] Von Clownstick.”

By bringing up the Twitter war, he hoped to example the potential President’s temperament, or lack thereof.

Vote wisely this November 8,” Stewart reminded.

One thing’s for sure. November 9th is going to be a very interesting day for citizens in the U.S. and abroad, as the world watches America’s reaction to the “rigged” election.
