If you loved food as much as self-professed foodie Lucas Hobbs, you wouldn’t let something like Cancer stand in the way of your dreams, either. The 12-year-old chef couldn’t eat much while he was undergoing treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma, but now that he feels much better, he has decided to use his “Make-A-Wish” to feed others and express his gratitude for life.

Lucas told WCCO-TV: “When I was sick, people brought me food from our church, and it was really nice of them.”

As is shared in the video by WCCO-TV below, Hobbs was first inspired to start a food truck after watching the movie “Chef,” about a father and son who run a food truck together.

And now Hobbs has one! The ChefLucasFood truck exists to feed adiverse group of people, including a homeless shelter, senior center, church, and the Minneapolis Police Department, which shot some video of Lucas’ visit.

The pre-teen who lives in Eagan, Minnesota is sharing his dream with the world and inspiring countless hearts along the way. You can follow the ChefLucasFood truck on Facebook.
