Almost everyone has that friend; you know, the one who ditched their 9-5 day job, sold everything they owned and took off to travel the world. For an artist named Cale, that friend was Patrick Joseph Falterman II.
The adventurer behind hitchtheworld.com recently passed away while piloting a plane that crashed in Liberty County, Texas. His abrupt ending has saddened all who knew him. In his 26 years on Earth, he has accomplished more than many people do in their entire lives.
Some of his past explorations included hitchhiking through Latin America, busking on the streets in Brazil, and sailing down the Amazon river in a homemade river, as Bored Panda relays.
To commemorate his friend’s bold and brave nature, Cale – who runs the website Things in Squares – created the following comic. Not only will the work of art inspire you to travel, it will also motivate you to rethink your priorities and live life to the fullest.
