Number 6: Low-Grade Fever
When a person is fighting a fever, it’s their body’s way of showing them that they are fighting off an infection. Because the Norovirus is exactly that, a viral infection, one particular sign can sometimes be low-grade fever. This is explained as a fever that is at least 37° C, but lower than 38° C, and it normally lasts for a 24-hour period. While irritating, fevers are only worrisome if they don’t go away, or if they reach temperatures above 40° C. If this is the case, you need to seek emergency attention immediately.
