Evacuating the Wounded
In 1969, a strong image of an American Green Beret and a South Vietnamese soldier is shown helping a wounded Vietnamese solider after fighting near Duc Phong, north of Saigon. Bodies of the slain soldiers were carried to this clearing with their gear for evacuation by helicopter.
