When a young man named Dylan saw a boy at his school eating a meager fruit cup for lunch, he decided to help. He approached his mom, Josette Duran, and asked for her to make two lunches for him to take to school.

At first, Josette thought he wasn’t getting enough to eat. According to her Facebook post, she asked him, “Are you not getting full boo?” He replied,

“Yes Mom its for this boy. He only eats a fruit cup for lunch can you make him lunch too? I don’t think he has lunch money.”

Reportedly, the boy’s mom recently lost her job and was struggling to send her child to school with enough to eat. Upon learning this, Josette didn’t hesitate to send two lunches – packed with sandwiches, fruit, drinks, snacks, and a sweet note for the boys – with Dylan.

This went on for a while until one day, Josette was called into the principal’s office. There, she met the unnamed boy’s mother. The boy’s mom thanked Mrs. Duran for feeding her son and offered to pay her back with her renewed income, but Josette refused.

As the video by Insider Edition relays, Josette doesn’t think she did anything special and would hope others might do the same for her son if she was in a tough spot.

Dylan and his mom’s kindness has rippled out and affected thousands. Furthermore, the school volleyball team that Duran coaches even donated $400 to the cafeteria for kids who might not be able to afford lunch in the future.
