Giant Maine Cat Isn’t Satisfied Until He’s Received A Hug Every Day

Meet Tihon, a Maine Coon cat who adores hugs and spending time with his family. Though he is a very large cat in comparison to typical felines, that doesn’t stop him from plopping into his caretakers’ laps or jumping into their arms for hugs. His human mom told Love Meow:

“He likes to sit in my arms all the time. He doesn’t like to be alone, and always follows me wherever I go, even the bathroom. He is very quiet. In Russian ‘Tiho’ is quiet, hence his name. He purrs quietly and lovingly. His mission is always to be near me.”

Tihon, who lives in Moscow with his family, has an unusual pair of eyes – one is blue and one his hazel. Additionally, he is a serious cuddle bug. Every day, he waits by the door to greet his humans when they come home from work, prepared to jump in their laps as soon as one sits down.

Describing the cat as a “gentle giant” couldn’t be truer. Though he is big in size, Tihon allows the smaller cats to take charge of the house. His responsibility? Cuddle the humans as much as possible.

Because Tihon is only one year old, he is expected to keep growing. Typically, Maine Coon cats grow until they reach three to five years of age.
