Father Kevin Payne and his daughter Vendela were recently passing through Raleigh-Durham International Airport on their way to San Diego when they were stopped and harassed by TSA agents. The girl was given a patdown that lasted for over two minutes because she was found with a juice box while attempting to pass through security at the airport.

Kevin recorded the encounter with his cell phone because he felt that his family was being harassed and that his daughter’s privacy was being violated. In addition to the invasive search, the family was also delayed for an hour for extra screening. The agents also attempted to prevent him from filming, but he made sure to film the encounter anyway.

“Maybe the TSA agents were bad apples, maybe they were under-trained, maybe they need re-training, maybe they did everything by the book. I don’t really know, but it was an uncomfortable situation,” Kevin Payne told KXAN.

“I’m a very big proponent of security, and if they were patting me down no problem, but this was a 10-year-old girl. The whole system seems to not work the way it should be working,” Payne added.

Vendela said that she had to try hard not to cry during the patdown.

“I know it’s to keep everybody on the plane safe, but she kept patting me down. It was like, over and over,” Vendela said.

In less than a week, the video has already been viewed over 100,000 times.

Congressman Stephen Lynch revealed in a recent interview on Boston Public Radio that there are 72 people on the US terror watchlist who currently have jobs with the Department Of Homeland Security.

Congressman Stephen Lynch stated in his recent interview that he backed a recent bill to change the screening process for refugees because he and other representatives did not trust the Department Of Homeland Security to be in charge of the operation. According to Lynch, an inspector general’s report conducted back in August showed that there were a large number of people on both the US terror watchlist and the DHS payroll.

In the interview, Lynch said, “Back in August, we did an investigation—the inspector General did—of the Department of Homeland Security, and they had 72 individuals that were on the terrorist watch list that were actually working at the Department of Homeland Security. The director had to resign because of that.”
