While mountain biking in Malinô Brdo, Slovakia, two friends experienced the scare of a lifetime. Footage uploaded by YouTuber Dusan Vinžík shows him and his friend riding through the woods when all of a sudden, an aggressive-looking bear darts onto the path.
As can be viewed and heard in the video below, Vinžík begins screaming at his friend who is being fiercely pursued by the wild animal. As quickly as the bear appeared, it disappears, however. Some suspect this is a result of Vinžík’s intentional screams. Fortunately, the mountain biker being pursued stopped before following the switchback path in front of him, as it most likely would have led him back to the bear.
In situations such as this one, making a lot of noise while pretending to be bigger, louder and more ferocious than the intimidating animal in close proximity is a good plan. We’re just happy no one was injured during this incident.
