Everyone On Earth Should Listen To Prince EA’s Beautifully Moving Message To Future Generations

This collaboration between activist/rapper Prince EA and organization Stand For Trees is a moving wake up call to humanity. Standing in a dry and dusty land, Prince EA begins a sad and powerful speech to future generations. His message? Sorry. “Sorry we left you with our mess of a planet. Sorry we were too caught up in our own doings to do something. Sorry we listened to people who made excuses to do nothing.”

“I hope you forgive us. We just didn’t realize how special the Earth was; like a marriage gone wrong, we didn’t know what we had until it was gone.” He then makes a reference to the ‘Amazon Desert’, explaining how used to be a rainforest. Assuming that unless we change our ways, future generations won’t even know what a tree is, Prince EA poetically explains their beauty, their uses, their importance to the planet, in such a way you’ll forget we still have some left. And that’s the point…appreciation of the majestic trees we can still save sparks a passion to do just that. And it’s not just trees, Prince EA attacks ecocide in general with the lyrics:

“Sorry we put profit over people, greed above need, the rule of gold above the golden rule. I’m sorry we used nature as a credit card with no spending limit, overdrafting animals to extinction, stealing your chance to ever see their uniqueness. Sorry we poisoned the oceans so much you can’t even swim in them. But most of all, I’m sorry about our mindset…because we had the nerve to cause this destruction ‘progress’.”

Despite the depressing subject matter, Prince EA finishes on a really positive note that will leave you feeling empowered and full of energy to fight back against ecocide.

This is a really poignant video that should be shared on every Facebook wall and every Twitter feed. Please consider sharing and supporting the crucial work of Stand For Trees here. By sponsoring a forest for a small cost, you can protect hundreds of trees and the animals who rely on them to survive.
