3. Increased Urination (Especially At Night)
The most common cause of excessive urination in adults is uncontrolled diabetes, a condition where too much sugar is found in the blood which is then excreted by the kidneys. Because sugar attracts water, water passively leaks out into the urine with the sugar, producing more pee than usual and causing dehydration and excessive thirst known as polydipsia, the first sign of diabetes.
