Donald Trump Wants The U.S. To Join Forces With President Putin To Destroy ISIS [Watch]

Last September, Russia began launching airstrikes against the opponents of Islamic State. Vladimir Putin, the country’s president, insisted that the bombing served to eliminate the terrorist organization ISISAccording to Huff Post, however, the country’s withdrawal from Syria after undermining international efforts ended up doing little more but tilting the war in President Bashar al-Assad’s favor.

Now, Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump aspires for the United States to join forces with Russia. Understandably, his stance on the issue has only served to divide the American people even more.

It was in December of 2015 that Putin called Trump “bright and talented.” A day later, Trump returned the compliment, saying, “He’s running his country at least he’s a leader, unlike what we have in this country.”

That simple exchange formed a camaraderie of sorts between the two. Now, it’s no secret which U.S. presidential contender Putin endorses. In fact, the friendship between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin recently inspired a mural to be painted on the wall of a barbecue restaurant in Lithuania.

USAToday relays that while men kissing each other on the lips is a common greeting in Slavic countries, there may be more of a message to the depiction of Trump tonguing Putin.

Lithuania is one of the Baltic nations that for decades was under Soviet rule. The nation gained its independence, along with other countries such as Ukraine, after the fall of the Soviet Union in the early 1990s.

According to Dominykas Ceckauskas, the owner of the Smoking Pig restaurant on which the mural was painted, the artwork is  “an ironic view of what can be expected” when the two leaders meet. “They seem to get along pretty well,” he added.

One wonders if Donald Trump would reconsider his bold proposition if he was informed that Putin’s tactics have actually strengthened ISIS, according to the UK’s foreign secretary.
