Donald Drumpf is at it again. At a recent rally in Northern Virginia, the GOP nominee was talking to the audience about how China deals its currency in order to “screw over” America when a baby got the best of him and inspired a less-than-Presidential reaction.
First of all, his banter on China made zero sense, but he only added to the confusion when he accepted the crying of a baby, then banished the infant and its mother from the rally.
When the infant first began to cry, he said it was “ok” because he “loves babies.” He added:
“I love babies. I hear that baby crying, I like it. What a baby. What a beautiful baby.”
NPR relays that he then told the mother,
“Don’t worry about it, you know? It’s young and beautiful and healthy, and that’s what we want.”
He continued his rant on China and trade until he heard the baby’s crying again. It’s then that he lost his cool and demanded that the child and its mother leave the rally.
“Actually, I was only kidding, you can get the baby out of here,” he said, gesturing like an umpire. “That’s all right. Don’t worry. I, I think she really believed me that I love having a baby crying while I’m speaking. That’s OK. People don’t understand. That’s OK.”
As one Twitter user relayed, it basically played out like the following:
Trump: “I hear that baby crying, I like it!”
