They say that you meet people for a reason. While this has been said time and again, Dr. Michael Shannon and paramedic Chris Trokey never realized how intertwined their lives were. They were simply doing their jobs, but what one did meant more to the other than he realized. It all started in June 1986.
It seemed like an ordinary day for anyone, but little did they know that this was the day that connected them in the most wonderful way possible.
A Little Early
Mike and Dee Trokey were expecting a baby, but the due date was still weeks away, or so they thought. Dee’s water broke and the soon-to-be parents were rushed to the hospital at the University of California in Irvine via the ambulance.
