Deaf Man Saves Deer, Sweetly Explains The Rescue In Video

Sometimes, the sweetest of stories can be conveyed with no words at all.

When a kind-hearted man came across a stranded deer in need of help, he didn’t think twice before assisting it. He shares in a video, which was uploaded by a family friend who goes by the username ceejface on Reddit, that he first noticed the deer when he was driving across a bridge.

“Severely concerned,” he walked through the woods to assist the exhausted deer, who was using every ounce of strength to crawl across the ice.

He conveys that he crawled onto the ice, tied a rope around the deer’s head, and then “pulled [her] out of the ice” successfully.

During the recording, the animal is seen sitting calmly by his side, lucky to be alive.

It’s not shared what happened next to the deer, but according to the unnamed hero, she escaped with her life – as well as was bestowed a new name.

“I will call her Miss Ice River,” he says. “She must be so cold. I am so happy that she survived.”

The man’s American sign language was translated by YouTube user Chris Haulmark.

What an inspiring act to inspire a happy new year.
