The country’s Socialist party created an eye-catching bus advertisement to encourage Americans to vote this November.
In less than two weeks, the 2016 U.S. Presidential election will take place. While it started out as a joke, it’s gotten less and less humorous by the day. Fortunately, a bus advert by the Socialist People’s Party in Denmark has inspired at least a few people to chuckle.
A video of the advertisement, originally published on Facebook, shows a bus with “Americans Abroad V*te” on its side. The humorous aspect, however, is the head of Donald Trump on its side with revolving eyeballs on its wheels.
According to the Socialist People’s party, the purpose of the mockery is to encourage Americans abroad to vote. Uploaded to the Facebook page of DR Nyheder, a Danish News page, the caption reads:
“We would like to say to the American citizens: don’t forget to vote – it has consequences.”
Chairwoman of the party, Pia Olsen Dyhr, previously told The Associated Press, made it pretty clear who she’s rooting for. She said:
“I don’t think Trump as president will be positive for the development of the world and therefore Denmark.”
