College Student Mysteriously Went Missing. Parents Upset When Disturbing Tip Comes In After 5 Years

Lauren Spierer was a 20-year-old college student at the University of Indiana. One of the two daughters of Charlene and Rob Spierer, she was beloved by her parents and had a wide circle of friends at school. Lauren also had a long-time boyfriend Jesse Wolff, who attended the same university as she did.

She had met him, and another good friend Jay Rosenbaum at summer camp, along with many other friends that she would eventually hang out with at IU. Vibrant, sweet and gorgeous, it was difficult to imagine what kind of trouble she would get into while at school.

Full Of Life

In her hometown of Scarsdale, New York, Lauren grew up happy and free-spirited. Her parents describe her as “A great kid, high energy, very caring, loving.” Her mom Charlene even went on to say, “She really had a zest for life. SO Lauren.” At University, Lauren was also known to be quite active in the Jewish community and had even gone to Israel during spring break to help plant trees. They really felt like IU was a secure and perfect fit for Lauren to go to school, as it was only approximately 750 miles away from where they lived.
