One of the reasons Hillary Clinton lost so many votes during the 2016 U.S. Presidential election was her concerning ties to Wall Street. Her buddy system with banks like Goldman and Sachs and her alliance with Monsanto were worrisome to American citizens, to say the least. However, getting saddled with Donald Trump as President of the U.S. for the next four years isn’t a bargain, either. Now, the former Apprentice star is receiving flack for appointing unqualified individuals to important positions in Washington. Most recently, Betsy DeVos was chosen to serve as the new Secretary of Education. One activist who wasn’t afraid to call out the odd choice of appointing DeVos to Secretary of Education was Bernie Sanders. During a confirmation hearing on Tuesday, the Senator asked:

“Do you think that if you were not a multibillionaire, if your family had not made hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions, that you would be sitting here today?”

DeVos responded that it was a “possibility,” then cited her work ethic for helping parents and children, being sure to add “primarily low income.” But is that enough?
