To say that today is a big day for the United States couldn’t be more of an understatement. After months of Twitter wars, debates, and drama between primary Presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, a new Commander-in-Chief will be elected to run the country this evening.

With only 9% of the American populace in favor of either primary candidate – but willing to vote just to ensure the ‘lesser of two evils’ doesn’t make it into the White House, the results are anyone’s guess (c’mon, who are we kidding, mainstream media is vetting on ‘Madam President’).

With this reality right around the corner, many are taking a moment to shed a tear for Barack Obama, the United States’ President for the past 8 years. He may not be perfect, but he has done some good while in office. It’s for this reason that you might want to watch a two-minute mini-documentary of the Obama years which is both inspiring and a bit saddening.

The ad, “Progress is on the Ballot”, was produced by the Clinton campaign to entice supporters of Obama to vote for her. In the ad, Barack summarizes his administration nicely:

“We know the progress we’ve made despite the forces of opposition. Despite the forces of discrimination, despite the politics of backlash. That doesn’t stop with my presidency. We’re just getting started.”

At the end, Clinton and Obama walk onto the stage together. Anna Kendrick’s song, “You’re Going to Miss Me When I’m Gone” plays in the background and likely summarizes what most people are feeling as they contemplate a Clinton or Trump presidency… Farewell, Obama.
