Banksy’s Walled Off Hotel Now Sells Original Work, Proceeds Benefit Local Community

Proceeds from the sales of key fobs, t-shirts, small pieces of art, and even a crucifix grappling hook will benefit the local community.

Leave it to Banksy to take an extraordinary art installation and elevate it further. In his infamous Walled Off Hotel, located in Bethlehem, the artist is now selling memorabilia that promotes the same message as his one-of-a-kind hotel.

The hotel nearly touches the West Bank barrier, and its purpose is to inspire conservations between Israelis and Palestinians. It also serves to attract tourists and opportunity to an area that hasn’t seen much of either, reports Cool Material. Opened on March 11, 2017, the Walled Off Hotel has a total of ten rooms, each of which features work from Banksy along with pieces from local artists.

The establishment isn’t intended to be a permanent fixture. However, because it is standing, the mysterious street artist decided to set up a gift shop inside the hotel. Proceeds from the sales of key fobs, t-shirts, small pieces of art, and even a crucifix grappling hook (yes, you read that right) will benefit the local community.

The t-shirts can e purchased online, but everything else can only e purchased at the hotel. If you’ve been a long-time fan of Banksy and wanted to own some of his work, now is your chance. Learn more here.
