The Murder That Ended His Killing Spree
Finally, in the year 1979, the police were going to get exactly what they needed to bring a bit of justice to the Rodney Alcala cases, when he was caught for killing a 12-year old girl named Robin Samsoe. On June 20, 1979, Robin had been heading to her ballet class when she vanished in the area of Huntington Beach in California.
What Witnesses Said
According to one of Robin’s friends, she had been on her way to ballet class when ‘a stranger approached them on the beach and asked if they’d want to do a photoshoot.’ By that point, Robin was quite scared and she supposedly borrowed a friend’s bicycle to get to her class faster. Dismally, she was never seen alive again. Almost two weeks later, her body was found in the Pasadena foothills of the Sierra Madre area by a Park Ranger, practically in skeletal remains due to the animals ravaging her body in the forests.
