He Was “A Nice Guy”

One of the stranger things in the entire investigation and the years of Alcala’s killing spree, Retired LAPD Detective Hodel said, “I talked to his professor at UCLA and his professor came out and said this guy is a top honor student. He is really a nice guy. He wouldn’t hurt a fly. You’ve got the wrong man… I got this very smart, very polished guy and… the acts he committed, you’ve got this monster inside of him.” Too bad they hadn’t known all of this in the late 60’s when he first began his macabre acts.

Thankful For Robin

If it weren’t for Robin Samsoe, then there may be a big chance that Alcala could still be out on the streets doing horrible things to many other youthful girls and women. And while he may have only been convicted for the deaths of 5 people, in reality, he had committed an unbelievable numbers of horrific crimes against too many women to count. These days, Robin’s family, alongside the families of the other countless victims of the ruthless serial killer Rodney Alcala, now pay tribute to the girl whose violent death brought a hideous man to justice.
