Though the recreational use of marijuana is still illegal in many U.S. states and in various countries around the world, the stigma surrounding the use of the herb is beginning to decline. That’s because components of the plant have been found to benefit a number of illnesses, such as seizures, cancer, Parkinson’s disease, anxiety, and arthritis. As these truths are recognized and economies benefit due to the recreational legalization of the herb, more and more people are allowing themselves to toke for the first time. Unsurprisingly, many millennials have already tried smoking, vaping, or consuming the bud in edible form. Many members of the “baby boomer” generation, however, are just beginning to jump on the bandwagon. And, it’s likely that they’ll only benefit in doing so.

The 40, 50, and 60-somethings who are choosing to light up are finding that a bit of the herb can go a long way in helping to reduce the aches and pains that accompany the aging process. There’s also something to be said about the stress-reducing qualities of quality bud.

It’s because the attitude toward marijuana is changing that Cut decided to bring parents and their kids together to smoke weed with each other for the first time.
