Abusive Mother Forces Innocent Daughter To Pretend She Was Disabled

Claudinnea “Dee Dee” Blancharde was known among her friends and family members as a selfless and tireless single mother who wanted nothing more than to give the best care to her gravely ill daughter, Gypsy Rose. For most people who knew her, Gypsy Rose Blancharde was an extraordinary girl who touched many lives with her inspiring story of struggle for survival.

Despite suffering from leukemia and other debilitating ailments, as well as being displaced by Hurricane Katrina, Gypsy appeared to be happy and lived as normally as she could as she drew strength from people who supported and loved her, especially her mother.

But things suddenly took an unexpected turn, when on June 14, 2015, an unfortunate incident revealed that things weren’t as they appeared. Dee Dee was found dead in her room, while Gypsy was nowhere to be found. That incident set off a series of revelations that shook everyone who knew Dee Dee and Gypsy.

Dee Dee, 48, was from Louisiana. She was a large, jolly, and friendly woman. She wore clothes with bright, cheerful colors, and anyone that met her would almost instantly warm up to her. Those who knew her referred to her as a generous person, always ready to lend others her time and even money, whenever she could. Most importantly, she was hailed as a model single mother who was admired for her selflessness as she took care of her only daughter, Gypsy Rose.
