What does it take to make an airport the best among other airports found all over the world? Changi Airport, Singapore’s premiere airport and the largest and busiest transportation hub in Southeast Asia, has the answer.

Ranked as the world’s No. 1 by Skytrax for 6 years in a row since 2013, Singapore’s Changi Airport is considered as a travel destination on its own, boasting world-class amenities that travellers can enjoy, all within its 4 terminals.

Some of the amenities Changi Airport offers to its visitors include a number of award winning restaurants, spas, movie theatres, shopping facilities, hotel accommodations and an actual swimming pool where travellers can relax and unwind while waiting for their connecting flights.

In addition to all these, Singapore is set to open a new building within the airport facility in 2019, the Jewel Changi Airport, a 140,000 square meter building that will connect terminals 1, 2 and 3 and shall have a feature like no other under its roof: A real, live indoor forest!

Thousands of trees, plants and shrubs have been planted inside the Jewel and passengers can walk under a tree-lined avenue on their way to their respective check-in counters. The world’s largest indoor waterfall will serve as a dramatic centerpiece to this already impressive architectural wonder. Walkways going through the dense greenery of 2,500 trees and 100,000 shrubs will let passengers enjoy the amazing scenery on their way to their departure gates.
