A Gorgeous Vacation Spot

The combined group of family and friends decided to visit Praia de Luz because of its gorgeous crystal clear water and long stretches of sand. Although this beautiful tourist spot originally thrived on its fishing and octopus potting economy, people began flocking there as a vacation spot. Aside from the pristine beaches, hotels, resorts, and other globetrotter havens began propping up, giving it a boost in tourism, which also provided a reason for the McCann family and their friends to visit Portugal.

Where it all began

Alongside the other three families that went with them, everyone checked into an apartment building located at 5A Rua Dr. Agostinho da Silva in Praia de Luz. Aside from the fact that the apartment was owned by a British citizen from Liverpool, the community itself was actually known as “Little Britain.” This was due to the high influx of many UK travelers, as well as other European tourists. This made the families feel quite comfortable and secure with their surroundings. But they would only find out later on that they couldn’t be further from the truth.
