16. Don’t Walk Around Alone at Night

Guatemala can be quite dangerous at night, something that isn’t unlike other destinations around the world. The chances of getting mugged, even in relatively safe places like Antigua isn’t impossible, especially if you go out strolling at night. The best way to avoid becoming a victim is to avoid going to unfamiliar places after sundown, especially on your own, which can be quite a challenge because of the very inviting and exciting especially when visiting a new place.
