Do you remember Hope, the starving Nigerian boy that was abandoned by his family and village because they suspected he was a witch?

When TrueActivist covered the news a few months ago, Hope’s unfortunate journey was just beginning to reach the masses.

As you’ll remember, the two-year-old was close to death, forced to wander the streets for eight months before being rescued. Thanks to Danish aid worker Anja Ringgren Loven, however, he finally received the aid and love he needed and is now living a good life.

All in all, Hope’s recovery took about 8 weeks. Over the past year, Loven has continued to update the world on his status. As you can see from the photos, he is doing exceptionally well.

Anja writes:

“As you can see on the pictures, Hope is really enjoying his life now having 35 new brothers and sisters who ALL take such good care of him, play with him, study with him, and make sure he is safe and is getting a lot of love.”

Following are some photos of a happy and healthy Hope:

Unfortunately, Hope has been diagnosed with hypospadias, “genital birth defect meaning the urethra emerges somewhere on the shaft or even the base of the penis, instead of at the tip. If you would like to help Hope, you can make a donation through this link.
