Teleportation, cures for disease, and no more plastic? It may sound impossible, but Reuters has predicted differently - and all by 2025.

Teleportation, food equality, successful disease treatment – sound too good to be true? Well according to the company Thomas Reuters , such innovations are likely to be reality by the year 2025!
After analyzing huge volumes of data regarding the scientific studies and patent applications, the child agency of Reuters created a list of the top 10 innovations that promise to dramatically change the planet by 2025.
While some of the following may be perceived as debatable (pending the ethics and public acceptance of genetically modified foods, for example), the Intellectual Property and Science Department of the company is optimistic that these ten identified areas will no doubt change the world. These are the most commonly referred to areas of scientific research in scientific literature, and the information that was used to create this list was combined with data on the areas with most of the patent application claims.
Here are the Top 10 Innovations of 2025:
1. Energy from Sunshine
Thanks to the advancements made in photovoltaic technology, the photocatalysts, distribution networks, and energy storage batteries, solar energy will become the main source of energy on the planet.
2. Personal Genome
Continued study and advances in the genetic analysis systems and methods that enable the examination of individual cells will allow the DNA decoding at birth.
3. End of All Plastics
Highly-polluting, non-degradable, and petroleum-made plastics will be replaced with biodegradable cellulose materials which are produced by new methods of biotechnology.
By 2025, it will be ‘farewell’ to plastic bags forever.
4. Internet of Everything
Due to the development of graphene capacitators, carbon nanotubes, new semiconductors, and 5G technology, wireless communications will dominate. The future of 2025 is for everything to be networked.
5. Intervention in Human Genes
With the development of therapies on RNA molecules aimed at correcting defective genes, it will be possible to correct diseases like Diabetes 1.
6. Treatment for Dementia
Discoveries and analysis of genes associated with neurodegenerative diseases will reduce the number of people suffering from disorders like Alzheimer’s.
7. Data Teleportation
The progress made in physics after the confirmation of the existence of the Higgs boson will result in the soon-to-come ability for scientists to advance the technologies of quantum teleportation of data. However, the teleportation of people is not in the offering.
8. Less Toxic Chemotherapies
The report is optimistic that the creation of drugs that target specific molecules and the individualization of therapy will reduce the toxicity of anticancer drugs by 2025. This will reduce the very common and present issue of damage to healthy tissues during treatment.
9. Electrical Transport
Due to the advances in lithium-ion batteries and the development of light-weight carbon composites, the spread of electric vehicles and development of commercial electric airplanes will increase.
10. Food for All
According to Thomas Reuter’s report, the cultivation of genetically modified plants indoors with the help of LED (which emits only wavelengths required by photosynthesis) light will ensure that abundant food supply is available all over the planet. It will also eliminate fluctuations in the prices of food.
